The world today is riveted by religious strife and political conflict that spans communities and countries, breeding fears and distrust that has led some to argue that a real clash between the Muslim world and the West is inevitable. Whilst some may deeply believe this paradigm, The Cordoba Foundation stands proud in believing that a world full of hope, where opposing ideas are working together, enriching our understanding of each other; strengthening our humanity without seeing its end in a grand clash, is possible. Established in 2005, The Cordoba Foundation was founded by the prominent British Muslim, Anas Altikriti to provide a strong voice of tolerance and reason in promoting dialogue and a rapprochement between Islam and the West. We strive to revive the spirit of Cordoba, the city, civilization and people, which remain a living testament of the ability of minds and aspirations to meet, collaborate and strive for the common goal of advancement and success.
TCF is an independent public relations, research and policy think tank promoting intercultural dialogue and positive coexistence among civilisations, ideas, cultures and people. It is an advocate of dialogue and action to promote understanding and acceptance of inter-communal and inter-religious issues in Britain, Europe, US and beyond, in particular looking to bridge the gap of understanding between the Muslim World and the West and vice-versa. It seeks to do this by engaging with a variety of stakeholders in society such as practitioners, researchers, journalists, policy makers and religious leaders.
